Passport photo online with your own phone
You don't need a studio for a passport photo. With a normal phone camera, a light wall and someone to help, you can take a photo that PassPixo then checks and crops to your document's dimensions.
How it works
Choose your document, take or upload a photo and review the automatic check. It measures face count, head rotation, sharpness, lighting and background. Anything we can't measure reliably is shown as 'not checked' – never as approved.
Your photo stays on your device
Analysis, background replacement and cropping run in your browser. Only the finished file is uploaded when you pay, and it is deleted automatically after a limited period.
Tips for taking the photo
Stand about half a metre from a plain light wall. Use daylight from the front, avoid shadows behind you, look straight into the camera with a closed mouth and neutral expression. Ask someone to hold the phone at eye level – selfies often distort the face.
What we don't promise
The issuing authority always decides whether a photo is accepted. Some offices take the photo themselves or require a photo from an approved photographer, so always check the rules for your document.

Frequently asked questions
- Can I use a passport photo taken with my phone?
- Often yes, if it meets the size, lighting and background rules. Some authorities take the photo themselves, so check for your document.
- Does PassPixo change my face?
- No. We crop and can replace the background, but never retouch the face, as that can make a photo unsuitable for biometric use.
- What happens to my photo?
- Before payment the photo never leaves your device. After payment only the finished file is stored privately and deleted automatically.
